PFWA Votes Oakland Raiders RB Offensive Rookie of the Year

Pounding the turf for over 1150 yards and 7 touchdowns in just his rookie season, the Oakland Raiders seem to have a breakout star in former Alabama running back Joshua Jacobs.

Alabama, spearheaded by 6-time National Champion Nick Saban, is known for producing some of the best running back talent in the entire country. Continuing that tradition, during his 3 years at this SEC powerhouse, Jacobs flourished with 1491 yards rushing and over 21 touchdowns. (See Highlight Video Below)

In his NFL debut, he brought the entire Raider Nation to their feet after a 2 TD, 113 yards performance.

With just those numbers, he is set to break that record in just 2-3 years in the National Football League. Evidently, his talents are not just noticed in the Raiders organization, as he was recently voted Offensive Rookie of the Year by the Pro Football Writers of America.
